Do you ever stop and realize that —like it or not—you are doing something exactly like your mother? For me, that thing is making lists. I make lists for absolutely everything and I keep them all. But it has started to come in handy in helping out my friends and family, too. If there is something I’ve already done, or even just thought about, there’s a good chance I’ve thoroughly researched it and made a list for myself that I can also share.
I have decided that rather than keep all this work sheltered in the Notes app on my phone or miscellaneous Word or Excel files on my computer, I would share it on my website. This way I can send links to family and friends when they ask my thoughts or experience on various topics — and maybe earn a few pennies from an affiliate link from time to time.
You’ll find a lot (but not all) of it circles around my kids, and how we work to keep our family active, organized and safe. I am by no means an expert where these lists are considered and I have no intention of becoming a “mommy blogger.” I don’t do extensive testing or comparisons, I just happen to be a parent with opinions, ideas and a few short years experience.
If one person out there finds this helpful, I will have succeeded.
